We are committed to enabling transparent, timely, and efficient procurement of goods and services vital for the Institute's academic, research, and administrative operations.
The Stores & Purchase (S&P) section plays a pivotal role: ensuring that departments, faculty, and students receive the materials they need—fairly, speedily, and with integrity. We follow procurement principles to uphold efficiency, economy, and transparency in every transaction.
Our scope includes procurement of equipment, instruments, plants & machinery, furniture, fixtures, raw materials, spares, chemicals, glassware, stationery, as well as services such as annual maintenance contracts, customs clearance, cargo handling and consolidation, and export of goods for warranty replacements/repairs. Excluded from our purview are publications, printing works, and outsourcing of infrastructure, housekeeping, security, cleaning, horticulture, etc.
We continuously seek to improve our processes, promote ease of access, and ensure that every procurement aligns with the values of fairness, accountability, and optimal use of public resources.
