In Regenerative Medicine and Stem cell (RMS) Lab, we work with mesenchymal stem cells, cancer derived stem cells and try to understand their interaction and differentiation potential with respect to biomaterials. We basically explore and try to understand the mechanisms behind their osteogenic and chondrogenic differentiation and cell-cell interactions in 3D matrices and 3D bioprinted tissues.

Our current research interests are:
  1. Stem cell research (Mesenchymal and cancer derived)
  2. 3D bio-printing for bone and vascular tisssues
  3. Chemically modified bioinks for 3D bioprinting and drug release application
  4. Bio-mimicked surface pattern for stem cell differentiation
  5. Organ-in-chips to study stem cell-biomaterial interaction
  6. Evaluation of biomaterial-stem cell interaction with respect to in-vitro and in-vivo surroundings for their osteogenic and chrondrogenic differentiation
  7. Application of hydrogels for specific stem-cell pathway differentiation
  8. Molecular biological analyses of the processes of osteogenesis and angiogenesis
  9. Study of cancer-derived stem cells affecting the malignant tissue behavior
  10. Cell-cell interactions in 3D microenvironment
  11. Characterization and application of novel Natural biomaterials
