PhD Student Mr. Ranjan Kumar Sahu Wins Best Poster Award at 68th DAE-Solid State Physics Symposium

Mr. Ranjan Kumar Sahu, Ph.D. student (PH20RESCH11021) from the Department of Physics, has been awarded the Best Poster Award at the 68th DAE-Solid State Physics Symposium, held at BARC, Mumbai, from 18th to 22nd December 2024.

Working under the supervision of Prof. Saket Asthana, Mr. Sahu presented research focused on strategies to improve energy storage through control over relaxor nature in ferroelectrics. His poster, titled: “Enhancement of Relaxor Properties in NKBT via BMN”, was presented under the sub-theme “DIELECTRIC, FERROELECTRIC AND PIEZOELECTRIC”.

The symposium, renowned in the field of Condensed Matter and Materials Science, recognized the innovative nature and significant impact of his work on lead-free relaxor materials for various applications.

This achievement highlights the excellence in research conducted within the Department of Physics and reinforces the institute’s commitment to advancing scientific innovation.
