Dr. Sailaja Rajanala, a CSE-IITH alumni, has joined as an Assistant Professor in the School of IT at Monash University, Australia

Dr Sailaja Rajanala graduated in 2022 with a PhD in CSE from IIT Hyderabad. Her thesis title was: “Making a Case for Utility Functions in Recommender Systems”, guided by Dr. Manish Singh. She did her Postdoctoral research at Monash University in the School of IT during the period September 2022 to August 2023. During her postdoc, she worked on uncovering biases in deep learning models using causality under the supervision of Dr. Raphael C-W Phan. She has joined as an Assistant Professor in the School of IT at Monash University from September 2023.
