Short term internship program at IIT Hyderabad for Japanese students

Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad(IITH) has a unique collaboration with Japanese universities and industries. In order to strengthen and encourage the research collaboration between IITH and Japanese Universities, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad has come up with a short term internship program for Japanese undergraduate Students.

Applications are invited from Japanese students from recognized Japanese Institute/University who are pursuing their under graduation.

Duration: Maximum 8 weeks of Summer Internship between 2nd week of May to the 3rd week of July 2020. *(Period is tentative and may change according to the availability of the Guide or Supervisor at IITH)

Eligibility: Pre Final /Final year undergraduate Japanese students

Students should continue his/her Bachelor program after the internship period (*Strictly not for students who finished their graduation).

How to Get Started Please ensure the following before applying: Japanese students need scanned copies of the following supporting documents to apply and submit the google form.

  1. Academic transcript/s.
  2. Recommendations/NOC Certificate from Home University.
  3. Proof of Registration/Enrollment/Bona fide Letter/ Student Id Card from Home University.
  4. Curriculum Vitae(01-02 pages only).
  5. Supporting documents for professional experiences (if any), Research Publications (if any).

Application Procedure

Instructions for submission of application:

Please read the instructions carefully. It is encouraged to follow these guidelines while filling out the application and Google form.

  1. Identify a faculty supervisor, you are interested to work within IITH before filling the application. (To identify departments and the faculty supervisor please visit our website-https://www.iith.ac.in/)
  2. The application form can be downloaded at the following link APPLICATION FORM for Short term Internship at IITH.
  3. Fill all columns of the application.
  4. Approach your faculty advisor or International Affairs office of your University and get his/her endorsement/NOC certification in the application form.
  5. Fill the Google form provided through the link: https://forms.gle/toLPyq6UvD4fAM6p8
  6. Upload the filled in application form and other required documents (as prescribed) before submitting the Google form. *Google form submitted without required documents will not be accepted.

Tuition fees and other expenditures

  1. Tuition fee is exempted for Japanese students.
  2. Selected students will be provided with hostel accommodation at IITH campus only.
  3. Students need to take care of all other expenditure like to & for Air fares, Travel insurance, Medical insurance etc.,

Last date of Submission application through Google Form 31st March 2020.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be based on the student’s qualification, grades, and Skype interview (if required) performance.
